Absolutely hilarious! Casting was impeccable! I would recommend BOM to everyone who can handle laughing at themselves and the strange ideologies we support. It probably has more reality related to religious origins than some would like to accept. Go Frogs!

I had been previously introduced to Book of Mormon so I knew what I was in for. I knew the music and the plot. I was not disappointed! I thought the show was hysterical, well choreographed, and performed excellently. That being said, I'm positive some around me had NO idea what they were in for. They sat with scowls, some gave only courtesy claps at the end of scenes, and some opted not to return after intermission. This is a tongue in cheek, irreverent poke at religion in general and Mormonism in particular. If you can't loosen up and enjoy yourself while watching talented performers entertain, stay home and let the cast perform to well engaged, smiling people instead. And in the future, don't buy tickets to shows you have no idea about. As for me and my family, we absolutely LOVED it and look forward to it coming back to Columbus.

The Book of Mormon is a perfect musical. The music is excellent. The lyrics are hilarious. The direction, choreography, lighting are fantastic. The acting is superb. You will not regret going to this show but you will certainly regret missing it. Personal Suggestion: Avoid listening to the music beforehand. You'll love seeing it all brand new for the first time on stage.

Crude, rude, disgusting, insulting and totally a great evening. Wow! Unbelievably funny and even a little message right before the end. I would recommend it to all but I can't imagine Mitt Romney would get a kick out of it. Christians that love bashing other religions will love it though. All in all very well done and a typical Parker and Stone story with fabulous music. Hasa Diga Eebowai!

The best new musical I've seen in years! The cast is top-notch in this touring company - they make the already-solid show shine even brighter. The South Park writers and the rest of the creative team have made a classic Broadway show with some very bawdy humor. It was definitely worth the ticket price! Your straight boyfriend will actually enjoy this musical. Note for parents: if you would let your children watch South Park, then they can come see the show with you. Otherwise, find a babysitter and make this an adult-only evening.

The production was hilarious in parts. They pulled no punches with exposing many controversies about the Mormon religion (in a funny way). I do not, however, find jokes about raping babies or female mutilation to EVER be funny. They crossed the line.

Pantages Parking lots cheated the patrons, charging up to $30 for parking around the theater. Play itself was too overamplified. Hurted one's ears, and you missed some of the clever lines and lyrics. Play itself had some clever digs and Mormon theology, very telling. African Village part had unncessary F-bombs, references to genital mutiliation, etc which might limit its appeal. All it all, cute and clever, unnecessarily dirty, plot that doesn't quite make sense. Not sure why this is such as hit

The show was excellent but it was very shocking and at times blasphemous. That being said, I knew what to expect so I was not shocked. We sat in the first 6 rows and no one in front of us left mid performance. Not sure about behind us. If you are a very religious person I would skip this one. The performers were beyond excellent. All the singing and dancing was spot on. Totally enjoyable but I am glad we were well prepared as to the incredulous parts of this show. If your shock value is high you will enjoy it. If not, maybe skip this one.

The book of mormon was so fresh and funny! So many great jokes and even the songs were funny. You will absolutely be entertained. Most likely if you are a serious stuck up person you will be offended by some if the language and topics. Im 31, went with my 60 year old mother who was laughing throughout and liked it, even though she made one comment about some of the language and topics being surprising and a bit shocking. We both liked it. We sat in the nose bleed sections and it had no impact on our enjoyment!

This is the third time seeing Book of Mormon and it gets better and better with every cast I see. The show was created by the South Park Creators, so you can imagine that it is very inappropriate and definitely NOT for children! But if you want a good laugh with you significant other or a ladies night out, this show will for sure make your night a lot of better. You laugh until cry, you cry and you smile because of the great message at the end of the show. The leads in the show were phenomenal. The actor who play Elder Cunningham hit it out of the park. Elder Price was amazing too. If you have not seen Book of Mormon, you are missing out! It truly is an amazing show.

It was So worth flying to O'ahu to see this production. The two friends with whom I went and I are still referencing some of the lines and giggling. There were two things though. 1). With all the laughter we missed some of the lines. :-(. About 15% of the play. the sound wasn't always loud enough or clear when the actors - who were SUPERB--faces away from the audience. I'm planning on seeing it again to fill in the blanks of what I missed And to roll on the floor laughing again. Absolutely irreverent to the Mirmon faith and incredibly hysterical. Mahalos for a great evening of entertainment.

We attended the Sunday evening closing performance in Knoxville, and were amazed. The choreography was unbelievable, the cast did a wonderful job, and we were thoroughly impressed with the show. My only complaint was regarding the acoustics in the venue (Tennessee Theater). We were in orchestra center a few rows from the back, and had a difficult time making out a lot of the dialogue. We also had to deal with several distractions from people talking, and entering and leaving during the performance, which exacerbated the problem. Part of that is lack of theater etiquette, but ushers were also seating latecomers in the middle of songs after the show started.

I had heard of the Book of Mormon play when it first was announced several years ago. Not a great traveler, I dismissed it as a recruiting tool for the Mormon church. I know a little about the church since I had lived in Salt Lake City for more than 35 years. Many of my close acquaintances are Mormon. The play touched on many of the Mormon beliefs and was successful in providing a comic relief. I thought the play was well written and organized. The little fat character was a tremendous catalyst, who kept the audience awake and laughing. Again, the play was excellent and I would see it again should the opportunity present itself.

First let me say the singing was great. It was more than I though it would have been, but at first I though they were lip singing to a sound track they were that good. Now the story line was nothing what I had expected, and it could make some who are too sensitive in this day in age uncomfortable, and there was a bit of cursing but not what I would call gratuitous, not for the story line anyway. But it was FUNNY, and it pays to pay attention to the everything they're saying as small but very funny bits are dropped in and you don't see it coming.

This was the funniest, most off color musical I have ever seen... I would recommend this to anyone who can laugh and have a good sense of humor. I happened to notice some people leave during intermission and the older individuals in front of us were not at all pleased with the language...so I strongly recommend that if you can't take some intense humor with extremely descriptive foul language...do everyone a favor and stay home. While there is plenty of offensive humor, as you might expect from the likes of South Park, this musical is certainly not rough around the edges like the show. The music, dancing and acting was all executed with skill and creativity that makes it clear why this show has been sold out so quickly on Broadway and beyond. I am so happy to have finally seen this production after waiting years for it to come to town.

The show is funny - twisted but great humor. Totally South Park-esque. However, I guess I am more sensitive than most to the explicit sexual content, e.g. a demon giving oral sex to Hitler in the hell-dream scene, frogs on men's penises because of the satirical story about having sex with frogs instead of virgins as a means to cure AIDS, Ugandan villagers with horse-sized (attached props) erect (bent upwards) penises to symbolize, satirically, the mandate that the newly converted Mormons are expected to procreate regularly. I guess because I'm one of the few non-porn-watchers around that seeing these visual images disturbed me. Hopefully readers won't judge me or call me an uptight prude. I like sex with my H, I just was shocked to see it so explicitly in the world's most popular musical. Also, as someone who believes in Christian baptism as a sign and seal of God's love over my life and my family who has been baptized, I don't believe what the Mormons believe regarding baptism. However, it looks the same in the musical, and the entire baptism scene was one big innuendo to the two lead characters having sex for the first time. Kinda funny - yah - but someone like me just doesn't feel the humor is appropriate when totally slammed with two virgins Doing It (baptizing and/or having sex) for the first time. Just in case anyone missed the giant parallel, she emerges from behind the screened baptismal pool with a medium-sized wet spot on her blouse. Not exactly water marks from a baptism. So, if you like overt and no-holds-barred sexual humor - go for it! Otherwise, skip it. I was super glad my younger teenage son had too much homework to go!

This is the 3rd time I've seen this show and it never fails to entertain. This cast was fabulous, although ELDER McKINLEY was good, he was not a flamboyant as the actor that I saw last October in Rochester. Growing up just down the street from the Joseph Smith Farm, I have had a lot of history with the Mormons, so this parody is just so much fun. Anyone with a sense of humor will love this show. The music is so "classic Broadway" you can't help but tap your toes with a big smile on your face because the lyrics are so funny.

This musical was funny, smart, talented and unforgettable! Just like the perfect mate... haha! I saw it on the Tony Awards and said "I have to go see that" and I am so glad I did! I bought tickets at the last minute and we sat way high up but it did not even matter. The actors were able to portray their emotions so well you didn't even need to see their face. I laughed the whole time and the performances were incredible! I would recommend this to ANYONE who loves music and comedy. Bravo to the cast!

The show was wonderful. Wonderful venue to host the hilarious, Book of Mormon. Stage scenery is modest yet perfect for the play. Actors and actresses are spot on. The writing is phenomenal. Must see!!!

The cast was perfect. Audio in the theatre was clear and understandable. The Thursday night crowd was great. Not rude at all but still laughed a lot at all the humor.

This was an awesome and hysterical show in NYC on Broadway. I was dissapointed at the L.A. production. It seems like they left out a lot and the energy was not there.

The Book of Mormon is an incredible show! The touring cast is amazing and very nice. This show makes fun of everything and everyone and had me and the entire audience in stitches for the entire show! Don't be thrown off because it's from the makers of South Park if you don't like the show; yes, the Book of Mormon has swearing, sexual themes, and offensive moments BUT it's a very tasteful showing and it is overly funny! They have the option of donating to 'Broadway Cares' to fight AIDS and you could go backstage and get a tour with one of he elders. It's amazing to see how everything works and how quick and busy behind the scenes are. Go to this show!!!

I had no idea what to expect so I went in with an open mind...glad I did because if someone had tried to describe this to musical to me, I may not have bothered to see it. That being said, the venue was gorgeous as usual, so much wonderful history at the Pantages and that alone calls for a visit. This is a musical like no other I have ever seen...if your to sensitive to watch South Park and don't find it funny then you will not like this. My Spouse and I laughed loudly at some parts, were puzzled at the need for others, and were ultimately happy that we went to see what all the buzz was about. This is not for those offended by profanity and religious jokes such as mocking the Mormons, obviously.

I really enjoy the Book of Mormon, obviously. I saw it for the seventh time on Sunday, March 23. Every time I see this play the audience is more fun. The audience on Sunday was no exception: it hooted and laughed uproariously. As usual, the ovation at the end was a standing ovation. This play is great fun. Profane? Yes. Boundary pushing? Yes? It pokes fun at organized religion, in general, and Mormonism, in particular. That is really fun to watch. It displays many wacky parts of Mormonism. Good. Don't go to this play if you do not understand South Park humor. Do not go to this play if you are conservative. Don't go to this play if you believe in the ridiculous Mormon dogma.

I saw the play the first time in NY with my daughter & this time in LA with my son! I enjoyed the play both times & part of fun for me was to watch my children laugh so hard! We are all South Park fans & this play surely didn't disappoint us. Go see it & I assure you, you'll enjoy it as well:")

This was purely the most offensive trash I've ever seen. I'm not a Mormon, but as a Christian, I would not sit and watch someone singing "f*** you God." I prefer to praise and thank my Creator, not mock. I guess making fun of religion is the new "cool" and alienating people based on beliefs is acceptable now. I don't know how those actors can sing that on a daily basis. It was deplorable... and I couldn't even wait for intermission to walk out. IF I could put that aside (as impossible as that may be), the show itself was not that great. I honestly don't get all the buzz. I guess people like that they're told to without being subjective viewers. Now, I am a South Park fan, but this was so bland. The songbook was high-school (no Dreaming a Dream of any musical theater masterpieces here), the jokes were worthy of a few chuckles (truthfully) but I've seen better and funnier. Bottom line, skip it. Personally, I stand what for I believe in, so I stood up and walked right out the door.

This is my third time seeing BOM. I saw it on Broadway and at the beginning of the tour in 2012 at the Pantages. I happened to be there to see standby Kyle Selig play Elder Price. Definately the strongest of the three I have seen. The whole cast was terrific and the whole show, as always, is incredible. Kyle has that special star quality that makes me wonder why it took them so long to put him on. He should be the regular actor in that role. I would go again just to see him.

I have seen this play five times now and will be going two more times. Book of Mormon is just simply a lot of fun! It is iconoclastic! It pushes the envelope. It is not for the easily offended. The audience on Saturday afternoon, January 25th, was the best I have experienced. They laughed at everything! And Book of Mormon is funny, if nothing else. It pokes fun at blind believing and at weird dogma. It also makes note of the fact that religions serve those who need to have answers to the unanswerable questions. Ultimately, the message of Book of Mormon is that religions and gods are created by the mind of man.

The show itself was very well done.. Great music, great choreography, great acting, very funny... Just not sure about the content for me. As a Christian, I was very offended several times. Perhaps I shouldn't have been... But I was.

I'm interning in Orlando and I bought these tickets so me and my family visiting could finally see Book of Mormon since tickets were sold out where I'm from within the first 3 days of pre-sale. This cast had so much energy and talent that me and my family were laughing and smiling the entire time. There is SO much talent in this cast, and I promise you will be AMAZED when you see it... Also, my grandma thought that this was a "holy show" before it started, so make sure you warn the people you're going with about the language and subject matter... or just don't tell them because it's a lot funnier that way.
