could be one of the loudest concerts that i've ever been to. always good to see bands that regular rock fans may not get the chance or won't take the chance to see live.

I've seen Rickie Lee in concert about 10 times over the last 30 years. This was one of my favorites. She was in a really good mood and very engaging. And her voice and playing were at their best. It's just Rickie on guitar and piano and one other musician, Catherine Ledoux (I believe) who played violin, guitar, mandolin and a number of percussion instruments. So, yes, it was very intimate. The precision with which Rickie Lee inhabits her songs is very unique to the way she performs and she was in top form all evening. It feels like you're in her home and she's performing just for you. She has a great sense of humor, and really made the audience feel welcome. I will definitely see her again the next time she comes to Atlanta.

I spent some time in Texas where I first saw Joe Ely and have probably been to see him at least 5 times over the years. This is the first time I have ever seen him without a band but I am glad that I got to see him perform solo. Joe has been around so long and played with so many people that he has a lot of good stories to tell and like the stories he tells with his music, he tells them well. I'm so happy to see him looking and sounding so good. Joe is a Texas original.

Been a fan for many years and have been to many shows. This was a great show and they rocked out. I definitely think more people should have been there to be blown away. Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was it wasn't long enough :-(

Tom was great! His voice remains strong and his range is amazing for any age, much less 77. He's also very funny, and his musicianship remains at a high level! And the Birchmere is flat out the best music venue! Tom is touring with 32-year old pianist and guitarist/singer songwriter Matt Nakoa. This guy is a star! Got the voice, technical skill, and looks to draw a crowd! And the two together is an evening you should not miss!

Kevin was quite funny - his impersonations were spot on! His opening act was hysterical, possibly even more funny than Kevin himself. Overall, my group and I enjoyed both performances and would recommend to others. Humor was clean for everyone to enjoy and was not politically based, as so many comedians now do. Nothing was offensive. Venue was okay, quite small, but not a bad seat in the house which was a plus.

Great sound from the Meat Puppets, played some old and new. High energy all the way around. I did not realize I would get Elmo Kirkwood as a bargain in the band. Drummer was as powerful as they get

Rush can retire now because it just won't get any better than the R40 tour. My wife is the hardcore Rush fan and loved the show, but even for the casual fan like myself the show was quite good. The sound at the Forum is excellent (have not seen a concert here since 1985) so didn't know what to expect. The Forum was well staffed and were friendlier than most venues. Rush combined deep cuts with FM classics to try to appease both hardcore and casual fans. Some may complain about the setlist but unless they played for 6 hours some songs had to be left out. The tour is over so not sure how helpful the review is, but the DVD should be out in time for Christmas.
